Admit it, we've all admired dancer's bodies - and now we can train like one!
Barre combines, ballet, yoga, and pilates moves to give long, lean and sculpted muscles. This class is open to all women, we don't believe in a one size fits all approach to fitness. We empower each woman to modify postures and develop body awareness for lasting results. This class is also open to pre and postnatal women. Babies under 1 year of age are welcome to join in a carrier or watching in their car seat.
O BARRE is designed to give you a full body workout using low impact movements. Our exclusively designed sequences have been developed to produce a strong, lean, and balanced body.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Be prepared to feel the burn and have fun doing it. You don’t need a background in dance, Pilates, or yoga to attend and barre is suitable for everyone. We encourage all fitness levels to come and try it. Each barre class incorporates elements of dance (mainly ballet), free weights and other resistance-based equipment. It’s harder than it looks but it’s low-impact and if you come regularly, it gets easier every time (psst...because you get stronger!).
WHAT TO WEAR
Yoga-like attire (ie: leggings or long shorts, comfortable top). Make sure you’ll be comfortable in a variety of postures. Our classes are performed barefoot, but grip socks are optional. Any props necessary will be provided at the studio.Bring a water bottle.
When you arrive you’ll get a tour of the studio, be able to store your belongings in our cubbies, and be introduced to your instructor. Your instructor will get you the right props and get your space set-up for class. If you any have injuries or limitations, please let them know.
WHAT TO BRING
Your going to sweat! So bring water to stay hydrated! Come in your favourite workout gear - and it's recommended to wear grip socks (don't worry we sell some if you don't have your own!)
WHEN TO ARRIVE
Arrive 10 minutes before class starts so we can get you set up. Parking is available at the studio. Our studio and change room is located in the upper level of the building. Please check in when you arrive for your first class.
